Fall Pictures at 35 Weeks and Update

Here are some fall pics that we took last weekend! Thank you Tosha for being so patient with us! I also had to meet with a surgeon this week. It's looking like I have 1-2 hernias from the baby and too much lifting! I'm on light activity and no lifting unless things get worse! Otherwise, I'm meeting with the surgeon again in Jan and we'll see if my hernias are able to self-correct themselves or if I'll need surgery to correct them! Hopefully, once Gavin's here, they will just get better on their own!!

Hospital Tour and Childbirth Class

Well, we didn't take our camera to either of these; but we did think about it!! Our hospital tour was soo awesome!! We love Sentara Wmbg!! The maternity floor has 3 fully stocked refrigerators and we have one in our room! They have coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available on demand as well! We get to labor, deliver, and stay in the same room! YAY! Moms also get 24/7 complimentary room service! YUM!! We were told to order extra for the dads!! Josh's accommodations are not the greatest! If we have a regular delivery, he gets a fold out chair; if we have a c-section, he gets a pull out couch and a plasma! I know that when we get there; none of this will probably matter; but it does seem nice! We'll have a wireless connection; so, we'll try to update our blog and email ASAP! We're also allowed to use our cells!

Our childbirth class was also really great! We learned a lot of relaxation and breathing techniques and got to practice them too!! We had a great instructor!

Surprise Daycare Shower!

My sweet friends Marsha and Kori had a surprise baby shower for me!! How sweet!! It was awesome and the food was delicious!! Gavin is getting so spoiled!!

Baby Shower and Update

Sorry it's been so long!! Gavin is getting soo big and exciting! He kicks and punches so much now! Last night, I pushed on his little foot and he kicked me back for about 20 minutes! If he's still following our last ultrasound; he should hit 6lbs this week! I don't have gestational diabetes!! Everything is looking pretty good so far!! My blood pressure is going up a little bit; but probably nothing to be worried about! It also looks/ feels like Gavin dropped this weekend! Everything that we've read says that babies come about 2-4 weeks after they drop; we'll see if that's true! It's nice though; because now I can breathe A LOT better again; and his kicks are lower too; which is nice! My mom said that we "frightened" him by going to a late night action movie (Rocknrolla); he kicked and flipped for about 30 minutes toward the end! Josh took his hand off of my belly b/c he didn't like how it felt! That'll prob be the last time we see a movie after 10 for awhile!
I had an awesome baby shower about a week and a half ago! Thank you Carlie, Crystal, Debi, and Kimberly!!! We got so many awesome things for Gavin that we needed!! I've been spending a lot of time washing clothes, blankies, etc. It's fun to put it all away in his room!! We also finally found a glider chair and ottoman this weekend that matches his furniture and that we're both very pleased with! Thanks Gramma and Gramps! Josh is going to put it together this weekend and I'll try to post pics of his room again! My mom is going to come up again this weekend for a major cleaning of the upstairs fest! Hopefully, we will get it all done this weekend and it will be just waiting for Gavin to get here!!! I've been having lots and lots of Braxton Hicks and cramping; I guess that's how you get prepared for real labor! We have our birthing class next Sat (15). I'm sure we'll have some great stories to post about that experience! I'm hoping that we feel more prepared for labor after that; b/c quite frankly, I'm totally freaking out about the whole thing! I've got my hospital bag almost packed; we found Gavin's going home outfit last weekend! It's so cute!

We have a NIECE!!!!

We're soo excited!! Josh's brother Jon and his wife Shannon had their baby girl today!!! She was born via C-Section this evening!! We can't wait to see pics of her and hopefully get to meet her!! Her name is Tegan Mei!! This is a pic of Shannon and me when we were visiting in PA. I think I was about 25 weeks and Shannon was about 31 weeks.
