Gavin's New Pic

Well, Gavin sure does like to get his picture taken! This latest one is from his 6th ultrasound, taken last week(week 23). After two failed attempts to view Gavin's heart, he finally decided to co-operate and everything looks fine, thank you for your prayers. The weeks are flying by, but we hope to use Labor day weekend to paint Gavin's room and assemble his crib and dresser. Gavin is also becoming very active... punching and kicking Katie day and night... I've been able to feel him as well, pretty sweet... no doubt he's excited for football season to start!

20 Week Ultrasound and Dr's Appt

Well, Gavin was not incredibly cooperative yesterday! Big surprise! He seeems to have quite a large personality already!! We're scheduled for a follow-up ultrasound on Aug 13. Yesterday, they were unable to evaluate his brain and heart; but so far, everything looks good!! It was great to "see" him yesterday. He's getting soo big!! We got to bring home a cute picture of his foot. :) AND, we were told, that he looked very masculine!!!
We're ordering his crib and dresser (Thank you Mom, Shell, and Teresa!!) and his chair and ottoman!! How exciting! We can't wait to start getting his room ready, it's a disaster right now, since it used to be an office!! We've got a lot of work to do!

It's a Boy!! Gavin William :)

Wow, our 4d ultrasound was incredible!!! We have 15 minutes of video!! It's so fun to watch Gavin move and kick!! His legs look pretty long; I think he might take after Josh and be really tall!! Unfortunately, his video is too large to post here or on youtube; so, we'll make copies and mail some home! His pictures aren't the greatest right now, because he's so small and because his placenta is right on top of him. We're hoping to have another 4d ultrasound done when he's bigger (in Sept-Oct), so that we can get some better pics of him and see how he's grown!! We have another ultrasound (20 week) with our doctor on July 30. There's no doubt in our minds that Gavin is a boy (although, our dr will confirm it for us on the 30th); it was pretty obvious!! I'll post two of his pics; in the first one, he looks like he's boxing, and in the second, well, he's shooting us the bird!! The ultrasound tech said that was for his gramma wanting him to be a girl! LOL! My mom was 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter; so she was definitely rooting for a girl; but is ecstatic to have another grandson! Gavin should be (unless he chooses to arrive really early) Josh's parents second grandchild. Their first grandchild is due Nov 7; and we can't wait to find out if it will be a niece or a nephew!!

4D Ultrasound!!
